devonbay2010 sells probable counterfeit 4GB Kingston on ebay

leave a comment »

We have only ever come across the little green and gold sheild sticker on counterfeit Kingston flash drives, never on genuine ones. This makes us think that devonbay2010 bought these flash drives from a fraudulent supplier. If we are right (and we are pretty sure we will be) then this USB flash drive is fake capacity and corrupts files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

This USB flash drive listed on ebay by re23htm is a very familiar fake capacity drive that corrupts files and is sold by almost every fake flash fraudster in China. This devious crook is trying to fool people into thinking items are in the UK – they’re not!

UPDATE 24/04/2010 at 01.27
re23htm is no longer a registered ebay member and ebay item 220592748525 shown in the screen capture above can no longer be seen on ebay. Did this seller make a run for it (we think the fraudsters watch this and other blogs about fake flash) or did ebay (who we suspect may watch too) suspend this fraudster before there was any evidence??
