The authors of this blog want to elimnate flash fraud on Ebay

ebayer fenny43 bought 128GB Corsair flash drives from fraudulent supplier

The flash drive shown in this ebay listing from fenny43 is not a genuine 128GB Corsair flash drive – the model shown is not made in this capacity. This seller obviously bought from one of the fraudulent wholesale outlets which sell counterfeit and fake capacity flash memory items. A fake capacity flash drive corrupts files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

UPDATE 13/05/2010
We just noticed that this seller is using a private auction to sell a fake 128GB Corsair mini – another drive that is not produced in this capacity – the highest capacity for the mini is 32GB, and the model we originally posted about is only available up to 64GB. If you bought from fenny43 you can be sure that your flash drive will trash your files after a while!
