fake 128GB USB flash drive listed on ebay by ban676 will trash files

leave a comment »

This USB flash drive is counterfeit, fake capacity and corrupts files. It was not made by Kingston and does not have a real capacity of 128GB. The other model we notice from this seller is also fake. We don’t quite understand what’s going on but ebay seller ban676 is among a number of sellers registered in Japan that have listed fake flash memory items (generally the same two drives) for sale during the last week.

We can’t remember coming across and fakes from sellers in Japan before this – we’ve seen sellers who listed fakes from just about everywhere else in the world before! We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

128GB DT200 flash drive from ebayer ichi_man likely to be fake

We think it highly unlikely that this 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 USB flash drive being auctioned on ebay by ichi_man is genuine. We think that like most on ebay it will turn out to be counterfeit and fake capacity. A fake capacity flash drive corrupts files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

This USB flash drive listed on ebay by igd1266 is certain to be fake capacity, which corrupts files. Every USB flash drive we tested that had a shiny little capacity sticker (like the one in the picture) proved to be fake.

We are certain that the 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 USB flash drives will prove to be counterfeit and fake capactity, which corrupts files. In the highly unlikely event that we are wrong about these being fakes which seller gymmdq bought from a fraudulent supplier buyers will be able to verify serial numbers with Kingston.

counterfeit 128GB DT200 flash drive listed by ebayer 2010taka11

leave a comment »

Here we have yet another counterfeit and fake capacity 128GB Kingston USB flash drive that corrupts files listed by a new seller in Japan – this time 2010taka11. What on earth is going on? Have fraudsters in China managed to register ebay ID’s in Japan or what? We never found a seller registered in Japan selling fake flash memory until the last week. If this was a genuine Kingston then buyers would be able to verify the serial number with Kingston. As it isn’t genuine they won’t be able to do this.

Seller dan6362001 obviously bought these from a fraudulent supplier, no doubt in China. There is no such thing as a real Sony Vaio flash drive – these were created by fraudsters in China. This USB flash drive is fake capacity and corrupts files.
