Flash drives sold in private ebay auctions by w2020w2009 are fake

leave a comment »

The model of flash drive sold in private ebay auctions by w2020w2009 is notorious for being fake capacity and corrupting files. This one is no different – this seller presumably bought from one of the many fraudulent suppliers in China who sell fake capacity flash memory items gauranteed to corrupt files after a while. The use of private auctions make us suspect that w2020w2009 may be aware that the flash drives are fakes.

128GB DT200 from ebayer tonwood89 certain to be counterfeit

If you bought a 128GB DT200 flash drive from ebay seller tonwood89 you can be certain it is fake. It costs far more to make one of these than the item above sold for! Genuine 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 flash drives all have individual serial numbers that can be verified with Kingston. We’d bet any money that Kingston won’t verify serial numbers for those sold by tonwood89 – if they even have a pretence at having serial numbers. This USB flash drive is fake capacity and corrupts the user’s files after a while.

Here we see ANOTHER listing for a patently obvious fake flash drive on ebay from a seller (nakatanisae11) registered in Japan. Are the people who are selling these really in Japan? Well – wherever the seller is be assured that this is a fake capacity flash drive that will corrupt files!

deron265 sells obvious fake Kingston on ebay, test with h2testw

This USB flash drive is not a Kingston and it does not have a capacity of 256GB. It is a fake capacity USB flash drive manufactured by fraudsters in China which corrupts files. Seller deron265 obviously bought from a fraudulent supplier without researching what genuine flash drives are actually available and what the costs of them are. Had this ebayer done proper research then deron265 would have known these are fakes.

knakajir66 another ebay ID registered in Japan selling fake Kingston

Something very dodgy is going on in Japan. We never saw an ebayer registered in Japan selling fake flash drives until the last week or so – now ID’s registered in Japan selling obvious fake flash drives (like the one in the listing above from knakajir66) are popping up like mushrooms.

The flash drive shown in the listing above is nothing to do with Kingston and will not have anywhere near the capacity advertised. We can say without much fear of contradiction that this USB flash drive is fake capacity and corrupts files.

There is no such thing as a genuine Sony Vaio USB flash drive – they are all fakes manufactured by fraudsters in China. This USB flash drive is fake capacity and corrupts files. We assume that haoayou6 bought these from a fraudulent supplier in China. It is likely that all flash memory items from this seller will be fakes that corrupt files.
