akorel lists fake 128GB Kingston DT 200 on ebay as “unwanted gift”

leave a comment »

This supposedly 128GB Kingston DataTraveler USB flash drive being auctioned on ebay (item number 260604048424) by akorel is counterfeit and fake capacity. It seems that the seller knows it as the buyer of the same drive (ebay item 260596974505) stated in feedback:

Seller confirmed its fake! Not original Kingston!

In both listings akorel says:

Unwanted gift

So if someone really gave this counterfeit and fake capacity flash drive which corrupts files to akorel as an unwanted gift (which we very much doubt) and the seller knows it – why try to pass fake flash misery on to someone else?

We wouldn’t trust this seller as far as any of us can spit!

We think it is unlikely that this 64GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 USB flash drive listed on ebay by mamapotus is genuine. If we are wrong then the buyer will be able to verify the serial number with Kingston. If we are right this USB flash drive is counterfeit, fake capacity and corrupts files.

UK ebayer activeflying obviously bought from a fraudulent supplier as the model of Corsair flash drive shown in this listing is not made in 128GB capacity. This is obviously yet another counterfeit and fake capacity flash drive manufactured by fraudsters in China. A fake capacity flash drive corrupts files.

It seems that ebay seller tor6900 bought these 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 USB flash drives from a fraudulent wholesale outlet. They are certain to be counterfeit and fake capacity – and a fake capacity flash drive corrupts files. It would not be possible to sell them at this price if they were genuine.
