Looks like yet another ebayer has money to flush down the toilet. If the ebayer can’t afford to flush money down the toilet we advise them to test the flash drive immediately it arrives! Sold by almost every fraudster on ebay it is just about the easiest flash drive to program to any old fake capacity – and it always has been!

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Beware, devious ebay seller ynthui126 is in China not in the UK!!

Buyers beware!! Seller ynthui126 seems to be a rather devious character whom we would not trust as far as we can spit. In ebay listings this seller attemps to appear to be a UK seller – no such thing, the seller is in China. Can we buy genuine flash memory items from devious sellers in China? No we can’t! The USB flash drive in this listing (and any other flash memory item from this seller) is certain to be fake capacity and fake capacity flash corrupts files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

balidreamer2009 lists enormous 512GB fake flash drive on ebay

There is no such thing as a genuine 512GB USB flash drive yet. The USB flash drive in this ebay listing from balidreamer2009 is a fake capacity flash drive that corrupts files. It was manufactured by fraudsters in China.
When the first genuine 512GB flash drive appears on the market it won’t look anything like this – it would simply not be technically possible to fit enough memory chips into the pictured flash drive to have a capacity this high.

Seller balidreamer2009 has obviously been shopping in fake flash land and purchased flash drives from a fraudulent supplier. All flash memory from this seller is sure to be fake, though balidreamer2009 may not have a clue that this is the case. Perhaps someone should point this seller at this post and suggest that he or she tests the items listed for sale with h2testw to learn the truth.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

sanyangai2010 lists counterfeit 256GB DT310 flash drives on ebay

The 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 310 USB flash drives in this ebay listing from seller sanyangai2010 are counterfeit, fake capacity and will corrupt files. At this price they simply couldn’t be anything other than fakes – they cost a lot more than this to manufacture!! Why is it that ebay is so slow to notice obvious fakes?

There is a lot of guff about ebay buyer protection and paypal protection – in our experience they are far better at protecting fraudsters (by removing listings AFTER people have bought so that they unaccountably vanish from won lists) rather than protecting buyers by removing obvious fakes when the items are first listed (before anyone buys) or warning the victims of fraud by telling them that what they bought was fake, which they seldom do!

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

fasdxv299 admits in ebay listing DT310 flash drive is counterfeit!

leave a comment »

Seller fasdxv299 states in the ebay listing (for counterfeit and fake capacity Kingston DataTraveler 310 flash drives) shown above that:

this product is a very high quality COPY of the original Kingston USB Drive, Made in China*
Bid with confidence!
Item guaranteed to work perfectly! or your Money Back

If something is a copy of a brand name item (Kingston in this instance) then it is an illegal counterfeit. This seller could face a jail sentence (or probably a lot worse as the seller is in China) by admitting to breaking the law in this way!!

The seller is right – they will probably work perfectly at first – then (once the real capacity of the drive is full) all your files will become corrupt and the drive will become a bit of useless junk.

However, fasdxv299 doesn’t have to worry about that too much because most buyers won’t find out until long after the seller has safely made of with their cash. The people who will find out the truth are those who test the first 20000 megabytes of the drive with h2testw as soon as it arrives! The truth is that this USB flash drive corrupts files – conveniently, after buyers are too late to do anything about it!!

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.
