fasdxv299 admits in ebay listing DT310 flash drive is counterfeit!

Seller fasdxv299 states in the ebay listing (for counterfeit and fake capacity Kingston DataTraveler 310 flash drives) shown above that:

this product is a very high quality COPY of the original Kingston USB Drive, Made in China*
Bid with confidence!
Item guaranteed to work perfectly! or your Money Back

If something is a copy of a brand name item (Kingston in this instance) then it is an illegal counterfeit. This seller could face a jail sentence (or probably a lot worse as the seller is in China) by admitting to breaking the law in this way!!

The seller is right – they will probably work perfectly at first – then (once the real capacity of the drive is full) all your files will become corrupt and the drive will become a bit of useless junk.

However, fasdxv299 doesn’t have to worry about that too much because most buyers won’t find out until long after the seller has safely made of with their cash. The people who will find out the truth are those who test the first 20000 megabytes of the drive with h2testw as soon as it arrives! The truth is that this USB flash drive corrupts files – conveniently, after buyers are too late to do anything about it!!

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.
