The flash drives shown in this picture from ebay listing number 320546649573 are counterfeit and fake capacity, which corrupts files. The model of Kingston flash drive shown is the Kingston DataTraveler 200 which is not made in 256GB capacity at all and is not made in the pink and black shown in any capacity whatsoever. These fakes are manufactured by fraudsters in China. The seller obviously bought from a fraudulent supplier and any flash memory item is likely to be fake.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

156GB Kingston DT310 from ebayer kgtrademark must be fakes

The price in this buy it now ebay listing from kgtrademark is too low for these to be anything other than counterfeit 256GB Kingston DataTraveler 310 flash drives purchased from a fraudulent wholesaler (no doubt in China) – the seller may be unaware of the true cost of flash memory and may not realise that these flash drives are counterfeits. A counterfeit USB flash drive is always fake capacity and corrupts files.

elan1965 lists counterfeit 128GB Kingston DT200 flash drives on ebay

leave a comment »

The buy it now price in this ebay listing from elan1965 would not pay for the memory chips required to manufuacture the genuine item (and that is leaving out the other components needed!) – the kindest thing we can say about this listing is that perhaps seller elan1965 doesn’t have much of a clue about the results of buyers using a fake capacity flash memory item – lost files and corrupted data.

Seems ebay doesn’t understand either – if they did, they would not allow such listings in the first place would they? Or maybe, just maybe, they don’t really care ??

Buyers would be wasting their time trying to verify serial numbers with Kingston for these (genuine ones have individual serial numbers which can be used to verify genuine Kingston DT200 flash drives with the company) as any serial number shown will either be entirely fake or a serial number duplicated from a genuine drive that has no doubt already been registered with Kingston.

What buyers of this item will end up with is a counterfeit fake capacity USB flash drive that corrupts files. Here is what the seller says in the listing:

I have 23 of these for sale. They were bought at a house clearance in a job lot box with loads of other stuff. They SAY that they are 128GB Kingston USBs. I know nothing about them at all. I have put one into my computer and it said it was 128GB capacity but thats the limit of my computer knowledge. Therefore PLEASE assume that they are fake and chinese copies. They come with absolutely no guarantee, warranty or anything. There is no return and please dont leave negative feedback if they are rubbish because in all probability that is what they are. Some have the green stickers on the packaging as in the photo but most dont

So there you have it – buy a fake Kingston on ebay from elan1965 and you can kiss goodbye to your cash!

flash drives from ebayer ambaservices not Kingston and not 256GB

leave a comment »

The USB flash drives in this ebay listing from ambaservices are not genuine Kingston and do not have a capacity anywhere near 256GB. What you will get from ambaservices is a fake capacity USB flash drive that corrupts your files once you have filled the true capacity (probably 4GB at the most) has been filled with files. The seller also has a listing for 512GB USB drives – a capacity that does not exist at all!

ebay fake flash fraudster kuailerensheng233 no longer registered

leave a comment »

It is simply not possible to sell genuine 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 USB flash drives on ebay for the buy it now price in this listing from recently registered fraudster kuailerensheng233. You couldn’t manufacture 32GB of flash memory chips for this price let alone enough to store 128GB of data – and that leaves out all the other components.

This seller had a very short career as an ebay seller – registered on ebay 14th May and ceased to be a registered user on June 10th. If (in the interval) you bought from kuailerensheng233 the item will have vanished from your won list as ebay seems to have suspended this seller.
