The 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 USB flash drive sold in this ebay listing by amotbot8 is a fake capacity counterfeit which corrupts files. Genuine flash drives of this type can be verified with Kingston using the individual serial number, but Kingston will not verify flash drives from this seller.

128GB Kingston DT200 from ebayer betterprices too cheap to be genuine

leave a comment »

We don’t think that the 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 flash drives in this ebay listing from betterprices are genuine. They are just too cheap to be the real thing. What buyers will get is a fake capacity counterfeit USB flash drive which corrupts files.

If these flash drives were genuine they would all have individual serial numbers that could be used to verify with Kingston that the flash drive is genuine – but as they are certain to be fakes then (even if they appear to have serial numbers) Kingston won’t verify them. This ebayer obviously made the mistake of buying from a fraudulent supplier in China.

newshoponthebloc resells fake flash drives bought on ebay

The flash drive in the ebay listing shown above from seller newshoponthebloc is for an extremly obvious fake flash drive – there is no such thing as a genuine Sony Vaio flash drive: they are fakes that will corrupt files. Examination of this seller’s listings and past purchases reveals that this ebayer has been buying up fake flash drives (many from sellers previously reported here) and re-selling them. Any USB flash drive from newshoponthebloc is fake capacity and corrupts files.

hiroghj5252 suspended by ebay for selling fake Kingston flash drives

leave a comment »

Seller hiroghj5252 (registered in Japan) gives this obvous fake’s location as the USA in the ebay listing above. This USB flash drive has nothing to do with Kingston and does not really have a capacity of 256GB; it is a fake capacity counterfeit that corrupts files. This seller has been suspended and listings have been removed – if you bought one of these from hiroghj5252 it will have vanished from your won list

The USB flash drive in this ebay listing from latino180 is an obvious fake capacity counterfeit which corrupts files. This is not a genuine 256GB Kingston flash drive – this discontinued model was never made in this capacity! We can ony assume that latino180 bought from one of the fraudulent suppliers in China.

256GB DT310 flash drive from ebayer naruai786 surely counterfeit

leave a comment »

We think it extremely unlikely that this 256GB Kingston DataTraveler 310 flash drive listed at auction on ebay by naruai786 is a geniune Kingston – we are sure that this is a fake capacity counterfeit that corrupts files. Who would list something brand new that is worth over £300 in an ebay auction with a start price of £20 if it is genuine?

Only a complete innocent or a fool would do this – and we don’t think that naruai786 is either an innocent or anyone’s fool.

128GB flash drives from ebayer sohinder2009 are notorious fakes

leave a comment »

The USB flash drive pictured in this ebay listing from sohinder2009 is a notorious model – sold on ebay in every imaginable fake capacity for several years. This USB flash drive corrupts files as a result of the fraudulent programming used to fool the operating system (and thus the user) into seeing the advertised capacity.

The truth is that the actual capacity of the flash memory in these flash drives is likely to be 4GB at most and once the true capacity has been filled files begin to be lost and corrupted. The flash chips used are also low quality and prone to failure.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

fake 128GB Sony Vaio USB flash drives sold by ebayer 910837

The USB flash drive pictured on the lest is the very obvious fake capacity model sold by ebayer 910837. This USB flash drive corrupts files.

910837 sold two of these recently (ebay item numbers 350364769289 and 350362024374) – there is no such thing as a 128GB Sony Vaio flash drive. In fact there is no such thing as a Sony Vaio flash drive at all except in the wild imagingings of the fraudsters in China who make these fake capacity counterfeits which buyers will l learn to their cost end up corrupting files once the real (tiny) capacity of the drives has been filled.

If DT200 flash drive is genuine ebayer jbelinski54 risks making loss

leave a comment »

If the 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 flash drive in this ebay auction from jbelinski54 is genuine then the seller risks making a loss on the sale. Kingston DT200 flash drives have individual serial numbers which can be used to verify genuine drives. If the USB flash drive cannot be verified then it will be a fake capacity counterfeit which corrupts files.

test 128GB flash drives from ebayer hugo-co with h2testw – fakes

leave a comment »

If you bought a USB flash drive on ebay from seller hugo-co test it with h2testw as soon as it arrives. The one shown far left is only made by fraudsters in China – there are no real Sony Vaio flash drives. The one on the right is a Kingston model but unfortunately for both Kingston and buyers counterfeiters in China have copied the look of the drive.

The fakes from China contain poor quality memory chips with a real capacity that is normally a maximum of 4GB. They are programmed to display a fake capacity to the operating system with the result that once the true capacity of the memory has been filled with files things start to become lost and corrupted.

We suspect that the 64GB Kingston DataTraveler 150 USB flash drive in this ebay listing from 320499406972 will be a fake capacity counterfeit which corrupts files. What we have here is an ebay listing from suspended ebay fake flash fraudster shoppingshoppp for fake capacity counterfeit 256GB Kingston DataTraveler 310 flash drives.
