Fighting flash fraud on Ebay

The authors of this blog want to elimnate flash fraud on Ebay

Did you buy a flash drive from ebay member jmorales112?

We have had suspicions about ebay seller jmorales112 for some time. At first we thought that this seller might simply be evading paypal fees by loading postage costs heavily in order to be able to offer items like the 32GB flash drive at the ludicrously low face price of 13 euros with the huge postage cost of 35 euros to make up the price – for example this listing:

Since we captured this listing we have discovered that this seller seems to be registered on a web site that is notorious as an outlet for fake flash memory items from fraudulent wholesale suppliers in China. If you bought a USB flash drive from this seller we suggest you test it immediately with h2testw – you are at risk of losing your valuable data!! We think the flash drives from this seller will prove to be fake capacity, which corrupts files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.
