Fighting flash fraud on Ebay

The authors of this blog want to elimnate flash fraud on Ebay

thegreatestdeals21 sells fake flash drives in private ebay auctions

Any flash drive you see in the packaging shown in this ebay listing from thegreatestdeals21 is fake capacity and corrupts files. The use of private listings makes us wonder if this seller knows they are fakes.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

  1. Hiya Gatch,
Looks a bit like ebay may have suspended thegreatestdeals21 – in which case they probably know the flash drives were fakes. So much for all the statements about buyer protection from ebay/paypal (same company). We’ve found it usually takes a big fight make them live up to it! If you paid by credit card then get in touch with your credit card company – they may do a chargeback to retrieve your money.

  2. What a load of crap.. bought a flash drive from this guy, he wants to exchange it for another (no refund) so I open a case, and he unregisters from the site. Get this… eBay wants me to spend my money on shipping to return the piece of crap to him in order to get my refund. No wonder eBay is full of fraudsters, THEY HELP THEM!
