128GB Kingston DT200 sold on ebay by luv4charlie probably fake

If this 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 USB flash drive sold on ebay by luv4charlie is genuine then the seller made a loss on the auction. Alternatively it is a fake capacity counterfeit that corrupts files. ebay alert: sawqe10 selling counterfeit 128GB DT200 flash drives

leave a comment »

The 128GB Kingston flash drives listed on ebay by sawqe10 are fake capacity counterfeits. You can’t buy a genuine generic 16GB flash drive on ebay at this price, let alone a brand name one; and you most certainly can’t buy a genuine 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 ANYWHERE (even if you were buying 1000 of them wholesale!) for this price.

It costs a lot more than the buy it now price of $19.96 to manufacture the flash chips alone, leaving aside any other components! Anyone who receives one of these fake capacity USB flash drives will find it corrupts files – after the tiny real capacity is full.

Wake up to reality folks! Ever heard the saying ” there is no such thing as a free lunch” ?? Well there is no such thing as a 128GB flash drive for twenty dollars, either!

ebay alert: ppkk58 is another seller of fake¬†Kingston flash drives

leave a comment »

The 128GB flash drives in this ebay listing from ppkk58 are fake capacity counterfeits – at this price they couldn’t be anything else. A fake capacity flash drive corrupts files. This seller is no innocent, this is deliberate fraud – the listing was set up to evade ebay’s auto-detection of fraudulent listings. That said, this listing has now been removed and seller ppkk58 has been suspended.

Could we possibly be looking forward to the day when fake flash memory is no longer sold on ebay? Let’s hope so!

The 64GB Kingston flash drives in this ebay listing from xiaoluchina are far too cheap to be anything other than fake capacity counterfeits which will corrupt files. ebay alert: hello.shopz sells notorious fake 128GB USB flash drive

leave a comment »

The supposedly 128GB USB flash drive in this ebay auction from hello.shopz is fake capacity and corrupts files. This leather and steel model is a notorious fake that has been sold by fraudsters on ebay in every fake capacity imaginable for a long time. We have never found one that had the advertised capacity. These are a great favourite with fraudsters because they are easy to program to fool the operating system into reporting whatever capacity the fraudsters think they might get away with.

ebayers make guerilla attack on seller of fake Kingston flash drives?

leave a comment »

It is perfectly obvious to anyone with the slightest idea about the cost of flash memory that the 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 USB flash drives in this ebay listing (item number 260635138236) are fake capacity counterfeits – at this price they simply couldn’t be anything else.

The seller had a feedback score of -3 after 5 negative comments were left by 3 ebayers and no positives. This looked like guerilla action by ebayers against sellers of fake flash items on ebay to us. Understandable – everyone is heartily sick of all the fake flash items sold on ebay.

In this instance it looks as though the seller foolishly entered into a dropshipping arrangement with a fraudulent supplier in China. Sellers who fall into this trap sometimes have no idea they are selling fakes. Four of the five negatives were subsequently removed by ebay and the seller now has two negatives, and one positive. Why did ebay remove the negs instead of the listing, which is obviously for counterfeit flash drives?

If ordinary ebayers realise these are counterfeit why is it that ebay is so slow to act in removing such listings – or better still preventing them in the first place? Do they have more difficulty in spotting obvious fakes than the rest of us?? Don’t they realise how dangerous fake capacity flash memory items are?

A fake capacity flash drive, memory card or whatever corrupts files after a while – thousands of people have lost irreplacable things (family videos or photos, vital work files, college assignments etc) by using fake flash memory.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

ebay alert: leather flash drives in private sales by nutty-day are fake

leave a comment »

Singapore based seller nutty-day is using a private ebay listing to sell this notorious leather and steel type flash drive. Never buy one of these on ebay, whatever capacity it is advertised at. In testing this flash drive has always proved to be fake capacity, which corrupts files.

The use of private listings is common among sellers of fake flash memory – this hides what it is that buyers are complaining about when negative feedback is left. All flash drives from this seller will be fake.

256GB DT310 flash drive from ebayer metacras probably counterfeit

leave a comment »

In the unlikely event that this 256GB Kingston DataTraveler 310 USB flash drive listed at auction on ebay by metacras is genuine the buyer will be able to confirm this by verifying the serial number with Kingston. If Kingston cannot verify the drive it will be yet another fake capacity counterfeit that corrupts files.

ebay alert: asgfdhytj123 sells counterfeit Kingston on ebay

leave a comment »

Beware! The 128GB Kingston DataTraveler flash drives being sold on ebay by asgfdhytj123 are fake capacity counterfeits. The real capacity of these fakes (manufactured by fraudsters in China) is unlikely to be as much as 4GB. Once the true capacity of the drive is full everything will start to be lost and corrupted.

It costs more than the buy it now price in listings from sellers in China (guess where asgfdhytj123 is?) to manufacture the main components of a 128GB flash drive!!

You may be able to buy a lot of things at bargain prices on ebay but a genuine brand new flash drive (especially a brand name one) is not among the things you can get at a low price. Low price = fake when it comes to new flash memory items on ebay.
