Test flash drives sold by ebayer jackk13: a victim of fraud??

leave a comment »

Although the price that ebay member jackk13 has been selling the 16GB flash drives in this ebay listing is perfectly reasonable we suspect they are fakes. We advise anyone who bought a flash drive from this seller to test with H2testw as we think this seller fell victim to a fraudulent wholesale outlet (probably in China) supplying fake capacity memory.

We advise ebayer jackk13 to do the same as we think that any USB flash drive he (or she) listed on ebay is likely to be fake capacity, which corrupts files. Unfortunately there are many fraudulent wholesalers in the far east and an increasing number of ebayers (hoping to make some money in difficult times) are buying from these fraudsters and re-selling on ebay.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you (or much worse – your customers) run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.
