Test USB flash drives sold on ebay by teliha2007 with h2testw

We doubt that this 256GB Kingston DataTraveler 310 flash drive listed at auction on ebay by teliha2007 is genuine. This seller previously sold several leather and steel type flash drives that are notorious for being fake capacity. Only one buyer seemed to realise there was a problem and was refunded by teliha2007. We assume that the others didn’t try to save anything much to their drives before leaving positive feedback.

We suspect that the Kingston flash drive may be a fake capacity counterfeit that corrupts files. If we are wrong the buyer will be able to verify the serial number with Kingston. A couple of 64GB Corsair flash drives have also been sold by teliha2007.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.
