Flash drives from ebayer wenxiulaoda shipped from Hong Kong

leave a comment »

Although seller wenxiulaoda is registered on ebay USA the 256GB Kingston DataTraveler 310 flash drives in this ebay listing are shipped from Hong Kong. Those who actually read listings properly will see that this one states:

We ship your item via HongKongPost. (standard flat rate shipping service) It normally takes 15-21 working days to arrive.

This means that the seller is involved in a drop-shipping arrangement with a supplier in China – home of fake flash memory! We advise ebay sellers never to enter into drop-shipping arrangements like this for flash memory items, you are sure to find yourself selling fakes. If you are selling drop-shipped goods you have no opportunity to check the merchandise, as it is sent directly to the buyer by the supplier. This listing also states:

This item has three months warranty. This warranty covers repair or replacement of defective products.

Genuine Kingston flash drives have a five year waranty, not three months. They also cost a great deal more than this seller’s price! These DT310 flash drives are fake capacity counterfeits and anyone who bought one of these will find it corrupts their files after a while. Never buy flash memory items with a shipping time that indicates they come from China – they are sure to be fakes!!

This fake flash drive from ebayer myhouse69 will corrupt files

leave a comment »

Seller myhouse69 is aware that this flash drive is not a genuine 64GB Kingston DataTraveler 150 but has failed to realise that the counterfeits from China do not really have the capacity shown by the operating system. What is shown by the operating system is the result of fraudulent programming of the control chip – the real capacity of the drive is nowhere near 64GB and this USB flash drive corrupts files as a result.

is ebayer gdeh84 dropshipping fake flash drives from China?

leave a comment »

In this ebay auction for a 32GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 flash drive seller gdeh84 (registered in Malaysia) gives the location of the item as Malaysia, China. This leads us to think that this seller has entered into a drop-shipping arrangement with a fraudulent supplier in China. If we are right this USB flash drive is a fake capacity counterfeit that corrupts files and the same will apply to other flash drives from this seller. If we are wrong the buyer will be able to verify the serial number with Kingston.
