hexuanjiao8810 sells fake 64GB Sony Vaio flash drives on ebay

leave a comment »

As there is no such thing as a Sony Vaio flash drive (other than the fake capacity counterfeits manufactured by fraudsters in China) we can state without a shadow of a doubt that anyone who bought a supposedly 64GB Sony Vaio flash drive from hexuanjiao8810 will end up with lost and corrupted files after a while.

UPDATE: It seems this seller has been suspended by ebay.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Counterfeit 64GB Kingston flash drives sold on ebay by kjhdst2010

leave a comment »

The 64GB Kingston DataTraveler 150 flash drives in this ebay listing from kjhdst2010 were too cheap to be anything other than fake capacity counterfeits. Anyone who bought one of these will find it corrupts their files once the real capacity (often no more than 2GB) is full. This seller has been suspended by ebay so buyers will find the flash drive has vanished from their won list.

fake 32GB Sony flash drives on ebay from zangly009 will trash files

Anyone who bought one of these supposedly 32GB Sony Vaio USB flash drives on ebay from zangly009 will find it corrupts their files after a while. This is because they are fakes manufactured by fraudsters in China and have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with Sony.

There is no such thing as a genuine Sony Vaio flash drive and any flash drive sold as this is a fake capacity counterfeit programmed to report a false capacity to the operating system. The real capacity of these will be 4GB at the most – and once this is full the file loss and corruption begins.

Although the location of these is given as the USA this is (like the capacity of the drive) a lie – the flash drives are in fake flash land (China) along with the seller!

Used 32GB flash drive from ebayer easttradeent seems to be fake

We are sure Sony never offered a 32GB USB flash drive that looks like the one pictured in this ebay listing from easttradeent – we think this used flash drive is a fake capacity counterfeit which will corrupt files once the real capacity (probably no more than 2GB) has been filled.

Will northstorm make huge loss on ebay auctions for DT310 flash drives?

Seller northstorm had eight auctions on ebay for 256GB Kingston DataTraveler 310 flash drives when we captured the listing above. If these Kingston flash drives are genuine then this ebay seller could face a massive loss on sales by auctioning them.

We think it more likely that this ebayer (like many others) made the mistake of buying from a fraudulent wholesale outlet in China. If we are right then the 256GB Kingston USB flash drive in this listing (and others) will prove to be a fake capacity counterfeit which corrupts files. Buyers can check whether these are genuine or not by trying to verify the serial number with Kingston.

If Kingston cannot verify the serial number for a DT310 flash drive then it is indeed a fake capacity counterfeit which cannot be trusted with your data.

32GB Sandisk Cruzer “blade” from ebayer bohuyan sure to be fake

with one comment

Although ebay seller bohuyan does not mention the brand or model in ebay listing number 290464092633 the picture shows the Sandisk Cruzer “blade” – one of the smallest and neatest USB flash drives on the market. As far as we are aware this model is only available in capacities up to 16GB and you would be unlikely to find a genuine one over 8GB at this price on ebay. We are certain these are fake capacity counterfeits that will corrupt files.
