32GB Sandisk Cruzer “blade” from ebayer bohuyan sure to be fake

with one comment

Although ebay seller bohuyan does not mention the brand or model in ebay listing number 290464092633 the picture shows the Sandisk Cruzer “blade” – one of the smallest and neatest USB flash drives on the market. As far as we are aware this model is only available in capacities up to 16GB and you would be unlikely to find a genuine one over 8GB at this price on ebay. We are certain these are fake capacity counterfeits that will corrupt files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

  1. The other interesting feature about this auction is that although the item is shown as in the USA, the dispatch information clearly mentions Singapore as the point of dispatch, and later in the postal information the term “HK” comes up (Hong Kong?) I wonder if this seller knows where he(she) lives.

With the quantity advertised I would guess this is yet another of these infamous “Drop Ship” arrangements where the seller NEVER actually sees the merchandise. By the way the REAL GENUINE SANDISK “Blades” are made in China, so could be a production copy in the same factory or even a misappropriated batch of real ones.

One factor that would confirm this would be a picture of the other side of the item, but of course this is not available to copy on the sales literature. So you must risk your 14.99 and try one, any offers?

We would like to have the chance to test one of these, but I personally am not prepared to waste my 14.99.
