2010brosco auctions 256GB Kingston DT310 flash drives on ebay

It is extremely unlikely that the 256GB Kingston DataTraveler 310 flash drives listed at auction on ebay by 2010brosco are genuine. We think it is far more likely that these are fake capacity counterfeits bought from a fraudulent supplier. Genuine DT310 flash drives have unique serial numbers which can be verified with Kingston to confirm they are genuine but we don’t think that buyers will be able to verify serial numbers for flash drives from 2010brosco with Kingston.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

is 128GB DT200 flash drive auctioned on ebay by zjx5 genuine?

If this 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 flash drive being auctioned on ebay by zjx5 is genuine the seller is likely to make a loss on the sale. The buyer can check whether or not it is genuine by verifying the serial number with Kingston. If Kingston cannot verify the serial number then it is a fake capacity counterfeit that corrupts files.

fcolover23 lists notorious leather and steel Sony Vaio flash drive on ebay

This 128GB leather and steel  flash drive listed at auction on ebay by fcolover23  is a notorious fake – nothing to do with Sony and a maximum real capacity of 4GB, but probably a lot less. This USB flash drive corrupts files. There are two surefire indicators that these flash drives are fakes:

  1. The model of flash drive – the leather and steel type always prove to be fakes
  2. The Sony Vaio name – all Sony Vaio flash drives are fakes. Sony do not use the Vaio name for flash drves

Never buy a flash drive with these indicators – you will find it corrupts your files!! The leather and steel type is notorious – sold on ebay for years in every imaginable false capacity. This particular model is a favourite with the fraud gangs in China who manufacture fake flash drives – very easy to program so that it reports whatever capacity they like to the operating system.
