The model of flash drive in this ebay listing from linglingcong is notorious – always fake capacity and always corrupts files after a while. Any flash drive from this seller is certain to be fake.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

UPDATE (about 20 hours after this was first posted!):
So far this fraudulent seller has sold the following types of fake flash memory items to ebay members:

  • the notorious leather and steel fake USB flash drive pictured
  • counterfeit 64GB Kingston DataTraveler 150 flash drive
  • Sony Vaio flash drive (doesn’t exist except as fake)
  • fake 32GB TF micro SD card
  • fake 32GB SDHC card
  • fake 16GB MP3/MP4 player
  • fake 32GB MP3/MP4 player
  • There are going to be a lot of ebayers who are less than happy with what they get from linglingcong!!
