256GB Kingston DataTraveler 310 flash drive from kipkorirmutai

leave a comment »

We doubt that the 256GB Kingston DataTraveler 310 flash drives being sold at auction on ebay by kipkorirmutai are genuine. Buyers can check whether or not a Kingston flash drive is genuine quite easily – here are the steps:

  1. Look at the back of the pack – is there a serial number?
  2. If there is no serial number (there should be a label showing this) then it is sure to be a fake capacity counterfeit that corrupts files – but the presence of a serial number does not, in itself, gaurantee it is genuine.

  3. Look at the USB connector – is there engraving on it giving details about the flash drive?
  4. If there is no engraving you can be sure it is a counterfeit that will trash your files – but again, the presence of engraving does not in itself gaurantee it is genuine.

  5. If both a serial number and engraving are present try verifying the serial number with Kingston.
  6. If Kingston cannot verify the serial number then you have a fake capacity counterfeit and your data will become lost or corrupted after a while.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

We are certain that this model of Corsair Voyager flash drive is not available in 128GB capacity. We think ebay seller made the mistake of buying from a fraudulent supplier and that these are fake capacity counterfeits which will corrupt files.

flash drives from wesley.chad, sonbenton and city.man2010 will corrupt files

The leather and steel type flash drives sold on ebay by wesley.chad sonbenton and city.man2010 (all registered in Singapore) will corrupt files – this model is notorious, always fake capacity and corrupts files. It is the longest standing fake sold on ebay in every immaginable fake capacity

These sellers are part of a fraud ring in Singapore that we and other bloggers have been watching and reporting about for a long time. You might find this post on Nandium’s blog from almost a year ago quite educational!

Pretty well all the sellers in Singapore offering flash drives on ebay are selling fakes and are part of the same fraud ring who seem to specialise in sell this notorious model of fake flash drive. Investigaton of feedback shows the connections between gang members – if you look at seller feedback you’ll see fake positive feedback from other Singapore fraudsters who have been suspended by ebay.

ebay seller newworldent has been shopping in fake flash land

Seller has listed a large number of very obvious fake flash drives on ebay including this “New Sony USB 2.0 640GB Flash Memory Drive” and 500GB Sony flash drives – there is no such thing as either a 640GB USB flash drive or a 500GB USB flash drive – they are fake USB flashdrives and they will corrupt files.

There are plenty of fake flash drives of this type in any old fantastic fake capacity you care to imagine as this picture taken in a shop in Singapore demonstrates:

shanghai display

A cabinet full of obvious fake flash drives – and above these, fake capacity MP3/MP4 players – openly being sold in a shop. This is common in China – the home of fake flash memory.

As this seller obviously bought from one of the fraudulent suppliers in China all flash memory items from this seller will be fakes and anyone buying a USB flash drive from newworldent will find it corrupts their files.

flash drives on ebay from applecn2010 treepop & robbie-391 are fakes

with 5 comments

The 64GB USB flash drives listed on ebay by applecn2010 are all fake capacity counterfeits. This fake flash fraudster offers the Kingston DataTraveler 200, the Kingston DataTraveler 150 and the ultimate fake – the Sony Vaio. Anyone who buys a flash drive from applecn2010 will find it corrupts their files after a while.

Seller treepop is also selling counterfeit and fake capacity 64GB Kingston DataTraveler 150 flash drives:

The 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 flash drives and 64GB Kingston DataTraveler 150 flash drives from seller robbie-391 are also fake capacity counterfeits.

fake Sony flash drives from chenchunli21 are in China not the USA

leave a comment »

Seller chenchunli21 is yet another ebay fake flash memory seller in China (home of fake flash – or fakeflashland as we sometimes say) who pretends that fake flash drives are located elsewhere – in this case the USA.

The flash drive shown in the picture is as fake as the location. Sony do not sell any flash drives remotely resembling this. Anyone who buys one of these USB flash drives from chenchunli21 will inevitably find it corrupts files – probably long after buyers have (delighted with the idea of getting such a marvellous bargain – ha ha) left positive feedback.

By the time most buyers notice something wrong with a fake flash drive (or other fake capacity flash memory item) they are too darned late to claim a refund. In the meantime fake flash memory sellers on ebay have had positive feedback and (unless dozebay has noticed their fraud) even more ebayers fall into the trap.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.
