Test memory cards and flash drives from dspe2650 with h2testw

We wondered whether the Corsair flash drives being sold in private auctions on ebay by dspe2650 were genuine so we decided to watch and check the seller out a bit. We think that if the seller broke even on this one then it was a skin of the teeth job.

Further investigation indicates the 32GB SDHC Kingston memory cards sold at auction by this seller all sold at a loss if they are genuine. This makes us think that the flash memory items from this seller are likely to have come from a fraudulent supplier – in which case they will be fake capacity counterfeits and fake capacity flash memory corrupts files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.
