Beware of ebay fake flash memory seller pingg2010

with 5 comments

The 256GB Kingston DataTraveler 300 USB flash drive in this ebay listing from pingg2010 is far too cheap to be anything other than a fake capacity counterfeit that corrupts files. The same applies to the 32GB Sandisk SDHC memory card and micro SDHC memory cards from this seller.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

  1. Hi Tania,
If what you bought from pingg2010 was the counterfeit Kingston flash drive we posted about you should not be posting it back and ebay paypal should not expect you to. Counterfeits should not be returned to the seller, they should be destroyed. Apart from anything else it is illegal to send them through the post – and Paypal know it.

There are two other issues – if they arrive back with the seller they usually get sold onto the next mug. Often they never arrive because the seller’s address is as fake as the flash drive.

  2. OMG!
Postage is going to cost me AU$18.80

I really hope that others learn from my mistake.

If it seems too good to be true.. IT IS! 🙂

  3. Wow..
This guy is such a w***er!
The dispute lodged with Paypal is ridiculous.

The seller gave Paypal a tracking number and sent me a piece of shit bangle instead of the flash drive so I changed the status of my Paypal dispute and now I have to send back the crappy bangle at MY expense to get my money back!

This must be the point where he makes his money because most people would just give up right now… but he can have his bangle back because I won’t be out of pocket quite so much.
    I am so pissed off!

  4. We’ve all been there Tania! Every one of our team was a mug who bought fake flash.
The golden rule is if it looks too good to be true then it is too good to be true.
