It is unlikely that there will be any new posts on this blog (or that comments will be moderated and approved) during the next week – so you are on your own, folks, for the first time since we started this blog almost two years ago to the day.

Apart from the first couple of months (whilst we were finding our feet!) we have published daily reports on the fake flash memory items we noticed being sold on ebay. All being well we will return to the fray during the first week of December.

In the meantime, if you see flash memory items on ebay at prices that seem too good to be true then you are probably looking at fakes. Use your common sense and steer well clear. Most of the flash memory sold on ebay (sometimes even at prices that would seem reasonable) is fake. Do your research before you buy!!

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.
