If this 16GB Sandisk USB flash drive listed on ebay USA by eagles1515 is genuine the seller is taking a risk by selling it at auction with a low start price. Because of all the fake flash sold on ebay bid prices tend to be rather low and sellers of genuine items often make a loss.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

robo247The buy it now price on these 16GB Sandisk Cruzer flash drives listed by robo247 was a bit too low for them to be genuine.

This leads us to think that the seller bought these from one of the many fraudulent wholesalers supplying counterfeits.

Fakes trash users’ files. You can’t tell a fake by looking at the drive properties as fakes fool the operating system. The seller may have no idea that these are likely to be counterfeits.

As usual we strongly advise ebayers to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.
