is 64GB Sandisk Ultra Backup flash drive from ebayer 2207 genuine?

Is this 64GB Sandisk Ultra Backup flash drive listed at auction (ebay item number 250693131178) by ebayer 2207 genuine? If it is the seller risks making a loss on the sale. If it is not genuine then it will have a fake capacity, which corrupts files – counterfeits are always fake capacity.

64GB Sandisk Ultra backup from ebayer jojodavison a bit cheap

leave a comment »

The buy it now price in this ebay listing from jojodavison seems rather low for the 64GB Sandisk Ultra Backup USB flash drive. This makes us wonder whether this seller made the mistake of buying from a fraudulent supplier in China selling fake capacity counterfeits.

If these did come from one of the fraudulent wholesale outlets in China then buyers will find that the flash drive corrupts files after a while. If the 64GB Lexar flash drives came from the same supplier then the same would apply to them. If the flash drives from jojodavison are fakes the seller probably has no idea that this is the case.

ebayer mister-noodles takes big risk if 64GB Sandisk flash drives are genuine

with 2 comments

Seller mister-noodles tells us in this ebay listing that:

These normally retail for $277.99 on SanDisk’s website

This makes us wonder why (if the flash drives are genuine) mister-noodles has at least five auctions for these rather than listing them in a single buy it now listing at a reasonable price. Is mister-noodles a gambler? After all, by selling at auction there is a risk of loss. We saw a question and answer on this listing:

Q: hello, i would like to bid on this product but i want to be sure this is authentic since there are a lot of fake ones selling in ebay. thanks
A: Hi there, all of the flash drives I’m selling including this one are 100% authentic and were purchased from a retail box store for a small business that never got off the ground. Hope this helps! 🙂

Hmm… time will tell.

Of course, it is alway possible that the business that didn’t get off the ground failed because they didn’t check that things were genuine. Maybe mister-noodles should have taken the precaution of testing some of the flash drives being sold with h2testw to ensure that they are not fake capacity counterfeits before listing them on ebay.

The 64GB Sandisk Ultra Backup flash drives in this ebay listing from kacleiicuetr4431 are far too cheap to be anything other than fake capacity counterfeits and a fake capacity flash drive corrupts files. Although the item location is given as the United States this is not the truth – these fakes will be where the seller is – in China, the home of fake flash memory.
