Counterfeit 128GB Corsair USB flash drives on ebay from tabka2008

The 128GB Corsair Voyager flash drives in this ebay listing from tabka2008 are fake capacity counterfeits – the real 128GB model does not look like this. Anyone who buys one of these USB flash drives will find that it corrupts files. We think the 32GB Sandisk memory cards from this seller are likely to be fake capacity counterfeits as well.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

fake capacity counterfeit flash drives sold on ebay by ghassan03

If the 256GB Kingston DataTraveler 310 flash drives auctioned on ebay by ghassan03 were genuine this seller would have lost thousands of dollars by now as they sold far too cheaply for the seller to break even let alone make a profit. We are certain they are fake capacity counterfeits – the 128GB Corsair flash drives sold by this seller certainly are counterfeits as they are the wrong model for this capacity. Anyone who bought a USB flash drive from ghassan03 is sure to find that it corrupts their files.

sln000 no longer a registered ebay user.¬†Suspended¬†for selling fakes?

The flash drive pictured in ebay auctions from sln000 is not a genuine 128GB Corsair flash drive – the model shown is not made in this capacity. Seller sln000 obviously bought these counterfeit flash drives from a fraudulent supplier. A counterfeit flash drive is always fake capacity and corrupts files.

Once again folks – we re-iterate our warning to ebay sellers – do your research before considering buying flash memory items to sell on ebay: there are a lot of suppliers who sell fakes!!

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items (especially anyone who plans to re-sell them either on ebay or elsewhere) to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you (or worse still, your customers) run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Seems that only a few hours after we captured this listing it vanished from ebay and the seller is no longer a registered user – did ebay suspend the seller? If so, was it for listing these or for selling fake Radar sunglasses?

Will we ever know? Beware, ebay sellers – flash memory is not the only type of fake sold by fraudulent wholesale outlets! If you list counterfeit items on ebay you are likely to be suspended when caught, whether you were aware you were selling fakes or not.

ebayer riveneuve1937 shows the evidence that flash drive is fake!

Seller riveneuve1937 has provided the evidence that this is a fake 128GB Corsair flash drive in the actual listing!! Amazing, shame that people buying on ebay don’t use their eyes and brains. If they did there would not have been 6 bids on this when we captured this listing. Of course there is always the possiblility that one or more bidders are alterate IDs used by the same seller – but we’ll come to alternate IDs in a minute.

Here’s a test to see if you can use your eyes and brain. Look at this screenshot below from the body of the listing (Item number: 320592138250) – can you see what we see?

Thanks to seller riveneuve1937 kindly providing a capacity chart showing that there is only one 128GB Corsair flash drive, which looks nothing like the one being sold, anyone with two eyes and a brain can easily tell that this is a fake capacity counterfeit that corrupts files!!

Now to the matter of multiple IDs – have a look at the pictures provided by riveneuve1937 (left) in this listing and le_mans1939 (right) in another current ebay (Item number: 250698734535) for a fake 128GB Corsair flash drive – again this is visual evidence for those in posession of two eyes and a brain:

We’ll leave you to work it out – of course you could have a look at the feedback for riveneuve1937 to see the other bit of evidence that makes us suspect that riveneuve1937 and le_mans1939 may be one and the same person!
