32GB Sony Vaio flash drive in ebay auctions from bobik68

There is no such thing as a genuine Sony Vaio flash drive, all are fake capacity counterfeits and anyone who buys one (whether from ebay seller bobik68 or elsewhere) will find that the USB flash drive corrupts files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Fake 64GB Sony flash drives listed on ebay by heyraoul

leave a comment »

Sony do not sell any flash drives that look like the ones being sold at auction on ebay by heyraoul. It looks as though this seller made the mistake of entering into a dropshipping arrangement with a fraudulent supplier. A dropshipping agreement means the seller never claps eyes on the item being sold and therefore has no opportunity of checking that flash drives actually have the advertised capacity.

However, in the case of flash drives carrying a brand name the more obvious fakes like this can be spotted by checking the company’s web site. In this case what is being sold by heyraoul is a fake capacity counterfeit USB flash drive that corrupts files. The seller probably has no idea he or she is selling fakes.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

fake Sony flash drives from chenchunli21 are in China not the USA

leave a comment »

Seller chenchunli21 is yet another ebay fake flash memory seller in China (home of fake flash – or fakeflashland as we sometimes say) who pretends that fake flash drives are located elsewhere – in this case the USA.

The flash drive shown in the picture is as fake as the location. Sony do not sell any flash drives remotely resembling this. Anyone who buys one of these USB flash drives from chenchunli21 will inevitably find it corrupts files – probably long after buyers have (delighted with the idea of getting such a marvellous bargain – ha ha) left positive feedback.

By the time most buyers notice something wrong with a fake flash drive (or other fake capacity flash memory item) they are too darned late to claim a refund. In the meantime fake flash memory sellers on ebay have had positive feedback and (unless dozebay has noticed their fraud) even more ebayers fall into the trap.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

muzzdfc auctioning obvious fake 32GB USB flash drive on ebay

leave a comment »

The USB flash drive in this ebay auction from muzzdfc is a well known fake manufactured by fraudsters in China. We don’t know where the seller obtained this flash drive but what we do know is that (whatever it says on the flash drive and packaging) it has absolutely nothing to do with Sony. This is a fake capacity counterfeit that corrupts files.

The seller may be unaware it is fake – a lot of people sell flash memory items on ebay without knowing the first thing about them. This particular type of fake has been around a long time – in all sorts of capacities, many of which are capacities that no real flash drive would have!!

Anyone visiting the far east is likely to see this sold all over the place; in shops, on market stalls – everywhere. Maybe muzzdfc has been on a trip to China (which we sometimes refer to as fakeflash land) – where all the fake flash memory items are made. Perhaps this photo (taken around a year ago) of a display case in a shop in Shanghai illustrates our point:

shanghai display

A cabinet full of obvious fake flash drives – and above these, fake capacity MP3/MP4 players – openly being sold in a shop. Maybe this seller went into a shop like this? Wherever it came from the flash drive in this ebay listing is a fake and corrupts files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

dayu8571, dahu65198 and xingxing9967 sell fake flash drives on ebay

leave a comment »

Althought the flash drive pictured in ebay listings from dayu8571, dahu65198 and xingxing9967 shows the name Sony it has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with Sony who have never sold flash drives anything like this one. The flash drive they are selling is a fake capacity counterfeit that corrupts files. It looks very much as though these three ebay IDs belong to the same fraud gang in China.

Seller xingxing9967 has been suspended by ebay for selling fakes – by the time you read this dayu8571 and dahu65198 may well have been suspended too. If you do not want to be scammed by fake flash memory fraudsters in China you need to engage your brain!

You cannot buy a genuine 64GB USB flash drive at the prices these fraudsters offer them at, period.
If the deal on flash memory items (anywhere, not just ebay) seems too good to be true it is likely that you are looking at fakes.

32GB Sony flash drives listed on ebay by fnhshop are fakes

Beware ebay fake flash seller xuxiong2010: flash drives will trash files

leave a comment »

If you bought one of these supposedly 64GB USB flash drives on ebay from xuxiong2010 you just got yourself a fake. Although the seller’s picture shows the brand name Sony there is no mention of this in the listing – why? We expect this is because xuxiong2010 knows full well that this flash drive has nothing to do with Sony and is a fake capacity counterfeit that corrupts files.

The seller gives the item location as USA – we don’t think so!! We think this fake is just where the seller is registered – in China, you may be surprised to read. You won’t be surprised anymore if you bought and actually receive your fake. Seller xuxiong2010 says:

We will marked this item as gift when we send it to you.

This is an evasion of customs duties – basically a type of fraud – would you trust someone who publicly declares they will commit fraud?

The seller says this about refunds:

Returns are accepted within 14 days for refund if you did not leave any negative or neutral feedback. We will fully refund you back all your money

This is a form of blackmail!
If you bought from this seller do not comply – when you have tested your fake leave this fraudster a neg to warn other ebayers and pursue a refund through ebay and paypal!! Don’t fall for the returns ploy – your returned fake is likely to vanish into the ether as sellers in China tend to give fake return addresses.

Do not be fooled by what the operating system reports the capacity of a flash drive to be – this is only what the control chip of the flash drive has been programmed to show. Seller lakersfeb tells us that this fake 64GB USB flash drive was:

OBTAINED FROM A LOCAL LIQUIDATION CENTER.
AS-IS INVENTORY SALVAGE CONDITION

That’s strange – the picture at the top looks like a familiar one from a fraudulent wholesale outlet in China.

Now how would lakersfeb have happened across this picture if the flash drives were purchased from a local liquidation centre we wonder?

It’s been a long while since we came across this particular model of fake flash drive on ebay but we can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that the capacity is nowhere near 64GB. Did you buy a Sony Vaio flash drive on ebay from vfhd-6730?

leave a comment »

There is no such thing as a genuine Sony Vaio flash drive – they are fake capacity counterfeits manufactured by fraudsters in China. It appears that vfhd-6730 (registered guess where?) sold a number of these in two ebay listings: item number 220628639965 and item number 220628954378. If you bought one of these – beware! This USB flash drive corrupts files.

This seller had no current listings when we last checked. The feedback we have seen so far for vfhd-6730 looks very dodgy indeed – it all seems to have come from “buyers” in China who are keeping their feedback private. This seller is one to avoid like the plague in our book!

Are USB flash drives and memory cards from ebayer rz_trading genuine?

leave a comment »

If the 32GB and 64GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 USB flash drives and 16GB Sony Pro Duo memory cards sold at auction on ebay by rz_trading are genuine then so far this seller is making a loss overall. This makes us wonder why this seller continued auctioning them – could it be that they are actually cheap counterfeits purchased from a fraudulent supplier? We think so.

If we are wrong (unlikely) the DataTraveler flash drives are genuine they will have individual serial numbers which can be verified by Kingston. If we are right and the flash drives and memory cards are counterfeits then the capacity will be fake – which corrupts files.

Seller d_patriart seems to be dropshipping the 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 flash drives in this ebay listing and the Sony Pro Duo memory cards in other listings from Hong Kong. Flash memory sold by d_patriart is certain to be counterfeit and fake capacity, which corrupts files. The seller basically admits this in the listing shown above:

*Please note: this product is a very high quality COPY of the original Kingston USB Drive, Made in China*

As it is a copy it is counterfeit – so this seller is breaking the law by selling counterfeit items! Seems that seller d_patriart does not realise that he or she could be arrested, prosecuted and sent to prison for this offence – committed in full public view!!
