32GB Sony Vaio flash drive in ebay auctions from bobik68

There is no such thing as a genuine Sony Vaio flash drive, all are fake capacity counterfeits and anyone who buys one (whether from ebay seller bobik68 or elsewhere) will find that the USB flash drive corrupts files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Fake 64GB Sony flash drives listed on ebay by heyraoul

leave a comment »

Sony do not sell any flash drives that look like the ones being sold at auction on ebay by heyraoul. It looks as though this seller made the mistake of entering into a dropshipping arrangement with a fraudulent supplier. A dropshipping agreement means the seller never claps eyes on the item being sold and therefore has no opportunity of checking that flash drives actually have the advertised capacity.

However, in the case of flash drives carrying a brand name the more obvious fakes like this can be spotted by checking the company’s web site. In this case what is being sold by heyraoul is a fake capacity counterfeit USB flash drive that corrupts files. The seller probably has no idea he or she is selling fakes.

fake Sony flash drives from chenchunli21 are in China not the USA

leave a comment »

Seller chenchunli21 is yet another ebay fake flash memory seller in China (home of fake flash – or fakeflashland as we sometimes say) who pretends that fake flash drives are located elsewhere – in this case the USA.

The flash drive shown in the picture is as fake as the location. Sony do not sell any flash drives remotely resembling this. Anyone who buys one of these USB flash drives from chenchunli21 will inevitably find it corrupts files – probably long after buyers have (delighted with the idea of getting such a marvellous bargain – ha ha) left positive feedback.

By the time most buyers notice something wrong with a fake flash drive (or other fake capacity flash memory item) they are too darned late to claim a refund. In the meantime fake flash memory sellers on ebay have had positive feedback and (unless dozebay has noticed their fraud) even more ebayers fall into the trap.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

muzzdfc auctioning obvious fake 32GB USB flash drive on ebay

leave a comment »

The USB flash drive in this ebay auction from muzzdfc is a well known fake manufactured by fraudsters in China. We don’t know where the seller obtained this flash drive but what we do know is that (whatever it says on the flash drive and packaging) it has absolutely nothing to do with Sony. This is a fake capacity counterfeit that corrupts files.

The seller may be unaware it is fake – a lot of people sell flash memory items on ebay without knowing the first thing about them. This particular type of fake has been around a long time – in all sorts of capacities, many of which are capacities that no real flash drive would have!!

Anyone visiting the far east is likely to see this sold all over the place; in shops, on market stalls – everywhere. Maybe muzzdfc has been on a trip to China (which we sometimes refer to as fakeflash land) – where all the fake flash memory items are made. Perhaps this photo (taken around a year ago) of a display case in a shop in Shanghai illustrates our point:

shanghai display

A cabinet full of obvious fake flash drives – and above these, fake capacity MP3/MP4 players – openly being sold in a shop. Maybe this seller went into a shop like this? Wherever it came from the flash drive in this ebay listing is a fake and corrupts files.
