The USB flash drive in this ebay listing from babyjbbw1 is a very obvious fake capacity counterfeit that corrupts files – Kingston never made this model of flash drive in 128GB capacity.

As well as this very obvious fake 256GB Kingston USB flash drive (Kingston does not sell anything that looks like this) ebay seller sohada4858 has listed 64GB and 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 flash drives at prices too low for them to be genuine. This and all other Kingston USB flash drives from sohada4858 are counterfeit and fake capacity, which corrupts files. This seller is registered in Japan but lists this fake as located in the USA.

bmpower2010 lists fake Kingston flash drive on ebay: test with h2testw

This is not a genuine 128GB Kingston flash drive – it is counterfeit, fake capacity and corrupts files. Seller bmpower2010 previously sold fake Sony flash drives and we suspect that this ebayer’s MP players will also be dodgy as bmpower2010 seems to make a habit of buying flash memory items on ebay from fraudsters in China and re-selling them.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Another obvious fake 128GB Kingston USB flash drive on ebay

This picture (provided in ebay listing number 280458108443 by seller maknjuk23, registered in Latvia) does not show a genuine 128GB Kingston USB flash drive. This is a fake USB flash drive that corrupts files.

We have no idea whether this seller realises it is a fake or not – unfortunately there are so many people selling fake flash memory items on ebay that there is not a snowball’s chance in hell of us contacting them all and getting them to check their items.

There is even less chance we can contact all of the thousands of people who bought fake flash memory items on ebay.

However, if you are a victim of flash fraud you can do a good deed and contact sellers you notice with suspect looking items and at least some of the people who bought the same item as you!

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

The 128GB Kingston flash drives listed on ebay by fonemaster-uk are fakes which will corrupt user’s files. There is no 128GB Kingston that looks like this!! Seller fonemaster-uk obviously didn’t do his or her homework before buying these to sell on ebay. If fonemaster-uk had done a simple bit of research then the seller would have known they were fake.

UPDATE
This seller is also selling counterfeit 128GB Kingston DT120 the seller states in listings for these:

PLEASE BE AWARE THIS ITEM WAS PURCHASED FROM CHINA, AND THERE IS A CHANCE ITEM IS A COPY.

We think there is more than a chance that they are counterfeit and fake capacity – we are certain that that this will be the case!!
