gizmo-sc

Having had positive feedback from the victim of the listing above (and another that ended the same day) seller gizmo-sc listed a third of these obvious fake 32GB USB flash drives. In the listing it states:

Dies ist eine Privatauktion, deshalb gibt es keine Garantie und Rücknahme!!!

– oh right then, so no gaurantee and return policy! Why does this not surprise us one little bit?

UPDATE 10/11/09
Seller gizmo-sc has listed a few more of these fakes now!

As usual we strongly advise ebayers to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.

Another ebay seller from China with fraudsters’ favourite

overseabridge

This flash drive sold by overseabridge will not have a capacity of 32GB and will corrupt user’s files when the true capacity is exceeded. We think the same goes for the other 32GB model from this seller. We advise everyone to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.

shaopingdong2009

gremlin2sSeller shaopingdong2009 is yet another gremlin from China selling fake capacity flash drives. The flash drive in this listing is counterfeit and fake capacity. It will have a capacity much smaller than the advertised 32GB.

Fake flash drives eventually corrupt users’ data when the true capacity is exceeded as there is nowhere for them to go. We advise everyone to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.

Counterfeit Ring – eBay Sellers minggege99, abestpartner0, and niuren2008

leave a comment »

SOSFakeFlash can confirm that the seller ids: minggege99, abestpartner0, and niuren2008 are the same same person who was involved in the trafficking in these Counterfeit Kingston DT150 32GB usb flash drives recently flooding eBay. Over 4600+ units were sold and over £80,000 of listing sales on eBay!

eBay removed all evidence and deregistered the seller ids. PayPal is currently trying to evade responsibilty in refunding buyers. Both must be very worried about hearing from Kingston Technologies for allowing these items to be sold on eBay, many eBay members contacted Kingston and all were told the items they had purchased were counterfeits.

Who is the seller or distributor? Reported by victims, one:
