841024cj We suspect that these 16GB USB flash drives from 841024cj are fake capacity – so far it seems that no buyers have tested their items as all have left positive feedback.

The two leather-look drives are commonly sold in a range of fake capacities – the longest standing model of fake capacity flash drive on ebay.

We suspect the Hello Kitty will also prove to be a fake capacity item.

We urge all buyers of flash memory to test test them all (whether USB flash drive, memory card or MP player) with the free program h2testw.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.

Hello Kitty USB flash drive a fake?

A 4GB Hello Kitty flash drive currently listed by a Hong Kong based seller comes in suspect packaging that is very familiar to fightflashfraud. This type of packaging was very common on fakes a while back and has re-emerged recently. The fact that at the end of an auction the buyer ID was hidden is further cause for suspicion. The only complaints buyers have made so far has been about items not arriving – but as we are well aware most buyers do not test their drives. Here is a picture of the item in question:
