test memory cards bought on ebay from svdfghf immediately!

If you bought a memory card on ebay from seller svdfghf you are advised to test them immediately with thefree program h2testw – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

This seller is no longer registered on ebay – the account has been suspended and the seller’s listings have been removed. This is presumably because ebay realised this seller was fraudulent. The seller gave item location as Southampton, UK but the seller was actually in China.

flash drives and memory cards from informavideo sure to be fake

leave a comment »

It seems that ebay seller informavideo (registered on ebay France) has entered into a dropshipping arrangement with a supplier shipping items directly from Hong Kong. This was a grave error of judgement on the part of informavideo as this means that the seller has no chance to check that merchandise is genuine as it is shipped directly by the supplier to the end buyer.

As this seller’s flash memory items (both USB flash drives and memory cards) are shipped out of Hong Kong we are pretty certain that they will be fake capacity and buyers will find that their USB flash drive or memory card corrupts files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

Bought a 32GB Kingston micro SD card on ebay from surfmurok?

A buyer has reported to us that a 32GB Kingston Micro SD card purchased on ebay from surfmurok was a fake capacity counterfeit – capacity was 4GB not 32GB! If you bought one of these you are advised to test immediately with h2testw as you are at risk of losing your photos, videos or whatever once you save more that a couple of GB to one of these.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

32GB Kingston micro SD cards from jacky_bowen not found on Kingston web site.

As there seem to be no micro SD memory cards above 16GB listed on the Kingston web site we suspect that the SD cards being auctioned on ebay by jacky_bowen will turn out to be fake capacity counterfeits. If these micro SD cards are fake capacity counterfeits then buyers will find themselves with lost and corrupted files. Our thanks to tax for pointing out this seller.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

32GB SDHC cards from ebay seller boulding83 don’t look right

leave a comment »

We can’t quite put our fingers on it but something about the 32GB SDHC cards in this ebay listing from boulding83 doesn’t look quite right. They are also a bit on the cheap side so we wonder if they may have come from a fraudulent supplier in China. A lot of wholesale outlets in China sell fake capacity memory items (USB flash drives, memory cards and MP players) and a fake capacity memory item corrupts files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.
