Odd listing by money_magnate for flash memory items on ebay Australia

leave a comment »

We find this ebay listing for flash drives and memory cards a little strange. This makes us wonder where seller money_magnate got them and whether they are genuine or fake flash.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

Are this USA ebay seller’s flash memory items genuine?

leave a comment »

USA ebay seller weasel_spit has sold a large number of flash memory items in auctions, all of which seem to have come without packaging. The seller’s explanation for this somehow does not ring true to us so we wonder if the items might be counterfeits. If they are counterfeit they will be fake capacity and fake capacity flash memory corrupts files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

We wonder whether these 2GB generic SD cards being sold at auction by vidait (registered in Ireland) on ebay UK are genuine.

New seller auctions 32GB SD cards – probably fake capacity

We strongly suspect that the 32GB SD cards sold by gynkanshui33 will prove to be fake capacity. Many thanks to Jason for alerting us to this seller.

As usual we strongly advise ebayers to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.
