leave a comment »

A suspect seller who sold 16GB flash drives, yexihong888, is no longer registered on ebay and ebay have removed the seller’s listings. This indicates fightflashfraud was correct in thinking that this seller is a fraudster. If you bought from this seller test your drive with h2testw and claim a refund.

Ebayer yexinhong888 sells 16GB flash drives that look very suspect

Ebay seller yexinhong888 is selling 16GB flash drives that look very suspect to fightflashfraud. This seller, based in China, is selling drives in packaging that is well known as being used for fake capacity drives. If you bought from this seller you should immediately test your drive with the program h2testw. It is extremely likely that flash drives from this seller have been programmed to lie about their capacity to the operating system. It is likely that the real capacity of the drives is 2GB or less. Anyone using fraudulently programmed memory will eventually lose all their files. yexinhong888a
