The flash drive shown in this listing appears to be the Kingston DT 100 – this model is not made in 64GB capacity. This makes us suspect that dominic2116 purchased the flash drives listed on ebay from a fraudulent supplier and that they are probably all counterfeit and fake capacity. The seller claims to have tested them but we don’t beleive it.

UK ebay seller lists fake 128GB Kingston flash drive

We don’t know where themarron purchased these flash drives but we can say without doubt that they are fake. The DataTraveler 100 is not made in 128GB capacity.

Seller in USA fails to follow advice about fake Sony flash drive

This is a counterfeit flash drive – Sony do not use the Vaio name for flash drives and they do not yet (unlike some brands) sell flash drives over 16GB. In our experience counterfeits are always fake capacity, causing data loss and file corruption.

This flash drive is a very obvious fake – the Vaio name is only used for laptops not for flash drives! We think the memory cards sold by cicishop76 will also turn out to be fakes. Fake flash memory causes your data to vanish or become corrupt after a while.

Seems we have a little ebay fraud ring based in Singapore here!

We think we may have identified a Singapore based fraud gang operating on ebay. Our observation suggests that xiao.zhu.zhu is a member of the same fraud ring as de-registered sellers super.fast.2009 and fast.shipping.2009. Posts over the next couple of weeks will probably feature a few other suspected members of the singjapan gang.

A new Hong Kong gremlin selling fake flash on ebay

Another gremlin has popped out of the ebay bath to sell fake flash memory.

No one can buy a real 16GB USB flash drive at this price, period. All you will get for this price is a fake capacity drive that will corrupt your files.

Another gremlin in China offering counterfeit DT150 on ebay

Looks like this gremlin ID may belong to the “wedding dress gang” – one of a number of fraud rings the frankeflash project have uncovered in China.

These 64GB Kingston DataTraveler drives will probably have been removed from sale from ebay under pressure from Kingston by the time you read this because they are counterfeit. Buyers can check serial numbers with Kingston – we know what they will say.

Claim a refund through the dispute console from this crook as soon you get confirmation that it is counterfeit and fake capacity. These flash drives on ebay USA are almost certainly fake

We are advised by our technical guys that swivel type flash drives are not produced in 128GB capacity for technical reasons. This and the fact that these are being auctioned by USA seller celluardistributor and sold on buy it now for less than we think a genuine 128GB could be sold at make us sure that these are fake capacity drives purchased from one of the many fraudulent wholesalers.

This seller has also listed 64GB Kingston DataTraveler 150 flash drives at impossibly low prices. Buyers can check the serial numbers for the Kingston drives with the company – we think we know what Kingston will say!
